Stereotypes and how they are represented depends completely on how much it is taken out of context, especially without people’s effort to actually be informed instead of just being opinionated. Even today compared to back then we human beings are all at fault of taking everything in life with a sense of only listening to another’s opinions, basing our views and how we should act, just off of that. For example, Christians, such as myself are sometimes believed to be all perfect. Honestly, I have been stereotyped as a Christian who is presumably going to pressure anyone into my beliefs and that is definitely not true. There are so many other Christians out there who are twisting around what it truly means to be a Christian, acting in a way it shouldn’t ever be presented, and it’s really upsetting. I personally with what I believe and what many others believe, if your Christian or not, we are all going through similar things, face struggles, and hardships. In any situation, no matter what you are, we can at least treat each other with respect and dignity. People may not agree with each other but that is no means to act immaturely with rudeness, unkindness, and selfishness. No one should be pressured into anything! If you don’t want to we shouldn’t force ourselves upon each other. Albert Ellis once said, “Acceptance is not love. You love a person because he or she has lovable traits, but you accept everybody because they’re alive and human.”
